Marc Bărăbaș

Marc’s main areas of expertise include competition law, corporate M&A, as well as data protection. He advised clients on regulatory matters, focusing on competition and antitrust aspects, respectively on competition law compliance, merger clearance, investigations and dawn raids. Marc regularly advises multinational companies and entrepreneurs on corporate and commercial aspects including incorporation of companies, restructuring of companies, share capital increases, as well as on matters related to corporate governance and contracts negotiations.

Representative work:

●Assisting clients in various investigations conducted by the Competition Council, participating in meetings with the authority and drafting correspondence and replies to the requests for information.

●Preparing and submitting notifications to the Competition Council in respect to economic concentrations.

●Assisting a major US tech company in the due diligence analysis in relation with its acquisition of a Romanian start-up.

●Providing legal assistance to a Dutch insurance company in relation to various corporate aspects.
