With a significant experience in landmark transactions and projects, Oana Bădărău is Partner and Head of Real Estate & PPP at PeliPartners, coordinating the practice that gathers one of the largest and most experienced real estate legal teams in Romania. Prior to joining Peli Partners, Oana was Partner and Head of Real Estate at PeliFilip. Oana’s expertise includes real estate transactions, development and financing of projects, land acquisition, leasing, urban planning. Oana advises regularly on construction law, particularly by providing legal assistance on FIDIC forms and FIDIC adjudication/arbitration. Her background includes advising on infrastructure projects, public procurement procedures and concession agreements, as well as on various real estate matters related to the development of renewable projects. Oana has also been involved in dispute resolution, providing legal advice in respect of various real estate matters and assisting clients in judiciary and extra judiciary settlements.
●Assisting a leading international project development and construction company on various matters related to the development, leasing and divestment of three office projects in Romania; aggregate transaction value exceeds EUR 220M.
●Assisting one of the most active local real estate developers in the leasing and sale of an office project to a local investor, in a transaction in excess of EUR 200M.
●Assisting Europe’s leading home improvement retailer with over 1,100 stores in relation to the acquisition of the Romanian operations of two major home improvement and DIY chains in Romania.
●Assisting a major property development and asset management company based in the Czech Republic in connection to the leasing and sale of one of its office projects in Bucharest and a light industrial park.
●Assisting a UK based investment fund in relation to the exit from one of its retail projects in Romania by means of share deal to a South African investment fund; transaction value is of approx. EUR 100M.
●Assisting one of the leading real estate companies in CEE region in relation to the acquisition from an Austrian group of two office buildings located in the central part of Bucharest, having an aggregate gross leasable area of approximately 15,000 sq. m.
●Assisting the winning consortium composed in relation to the public procurement procedure for the award of the construction and operation contract for a motorway.
●Assisting an international real estate developer in relation to the termination of a 1987 FIDIC Red Book based contract and in the arbitration proceedings with the former general contractor.
