Mădălina Fildan Răileanu

With over 20 years of experience in business law, Mădălina’s main practice areas are real estate, energy & natural resources and mergers & acquisitions, in which she has a senior specialist position and project coordination role. She participated in projects that span a large part of the real estate market, including retail, residential, office buildings as well as the industrial and forestry areas. Mădălina was directly involved in and coordinated legal transactions related to the sale or acquisition of lands, construction projects, forward purchase projects and the lease of commercial centers, office buildings and logistic centers.

Representative work:

●Assisting a leading international project development and construction company on various matters related to the development, leasing and divestment of three office projects in Romania; aggregate transaction value exceeds EUR 220M.

●Assisting a leading tyre manufacturer in a complex logistics project, involving multi-phased sale and lease back operations.

●Assisting two Belgian investment funds in relation to the acquisition of an extensive portfolio of over 20 retail projects located in Bucharest and various secondary cities in Romania.

●Assisting Europe’s leading home improvement retailer with over 1,100 stores across 10 countries in Europe in relation to the acquisition of the Romanian operations of one of the major home improvement and DIY chains in Romania.

●Assisting one of the most active local real estate developers in the leasing and sale of an office project to a local investor, in a transaction in excess of EUR 200M.

●Assistance clients in several negotiations for construction agreements (including FIDIC based), most recently for office and retail projects in Bucharest. 

●Assisting a German based company active in the field of renewable energy in relation to the acquisition, development and financing of a wind farm having a capacity in excess of 100 MW, including assistance and advice with respect to relevant regulatory, permitting, contract, commercial and corporate aspects in relation to the project development and construction.
