Kodru specializes in corporate, administrative and public procurement related litigation. During the past 5 years, he was involved in advising and representing large real estate and infrastructure developers, public service operators, strategic public companies and state authorities in administrative and business-related litigation, as well as in international arbitration proceedings. His experience also includes providing legal advice in various commercial matters, such as public procurement, consumer protection and IP&IT.

Advising an international construction company in an ICC arbitration claim of more than EUR 75 million related to a railway rehabilitation project (FIDIC Red Book construction agreement).

Advising a large investment fund, shareholder of Fondul Proprietatea, in a large series of corporate litigation initiated by a vexatious minority shareholder.

Advising a major bank in a litigation against the Romanian Consumer Protection Authority (ANPC) related to the alleged illegal assignment of non-performing loans, insertion of abusive clauses in consumer contracts and using unfair commercial practices.

Advising a Romanian waste collection operator in public procurement procedures for the award of multi-million EUR concession of waste collection contracts in several Romanian counties and representing the client in public procurement and contract implementation related litigation, as well as in other litigation against the contracting authority (recovery of the environmental tax; waste disposal tariffs dispute etc.).

Advising a major energy producer in a series of energy and regulatory related litigation (export of energy on EU markets, recovery of investments from the Romanian state).

Advising one of the largest pharmaceutical groups in Romania in several litigation files regarding trademarks (counterfeit claim against the client, the client’s claim for the annulment of the opposing party’s trademark, as well as an injunction order regarding the retrieval from the market of the client’s products).
